In 2006 Chef Joel and his partner Karen Brorby opened Café Joël to service the businesses at the newly refurbished Hamilton Field Novato hangars. As the popularity of the Café and Chef Joel's catering services grew, expanding further into the Hamilton community was the next obvious step. In keeping with their quest for excellent and unique food experiences, both for themselves and for their customers, 2010 had Karen and Chef Joel defining the Café as "Your Friendliest Neighborhood Eatery" to make the entire Novato community feel welcome. Café Joël is rapidly becoming the "must go to" burger and malt shop and exists to provide the finest in breakfast, lunch and catering. They are open 8:30 AM untill 3:00 PM
Cafe Joel also loves to open it's doors to evening and weekend groups, teams  etc.
